Reversible Braided Cable Scarves

By creating a braided cable using a ribbed base, it is
possible to make a very stunning reversible scarf.
In Variation One, the lace edging stops the scarf from
looking and feeling too bulky
and the narrow width allows versatility when its worn
to either be just decorative or to do a wrap for more warmth.
In Variation Two, a smaller yarn was used and a simple
garter stitch edge replaces the lace.
Needle size: American size 7 for sport weight, size 5 for fingering weight or size to match yarn size.
Yarn: Variation One is done in sport weight two ply handspun.
Variation Two is done in fingering weight two ply handspun.
Each scarf takes from 4 to 6 ounces depending on desired length.
